Awhile back I did a mix called “Sweet Thing” and awhile before that I did a mix called “Your My Paradise” aka “Paris”. This one is more of the same, in fact there are some songs from “Your My Paradise” on this one, not that many people got to hear that mix so forgive me if you did.

Lots of sweet slow ones from the 80’s. May it be the soundtrack to your spring romance or in the case of some friends, (Matt and Molly, Richie and Diana) may it be the soundtrack to your honeymoon.

This is a new mix I did for Give The DJ A Break. It’s mostly up tempo boogie jams. Heavy Synths, Drum Machines, and lots of STRONG Songs.

Give The DJ A Break is held up by Newcastle’s coolest; P. Skillz. We first made a connection back when I was doing American Nights. He’s shown tons of love and this guest mix is way overdue.

P. has also hosted mixes by Chicago fam. Zernell and fellow Prospect Park-er; Elwood. Check him out on the regular so you don’t miss any of the heat.

100 Limousines is back with a bit of a refresh. I’ve taken on some new work that’s kept me from the site but I’m back.

In the last couple months some fun stuff has been happening. We’ve had two more Foreal People parties and we have another one this month on the 17th. I’d like to send a congratulations to Richie and Diana who are getting married on May 17th. Unfortunately Richie (Love On The Run) won’t be able to join us on the wheels at Foreal People but we have a special guest, McBoing-Boing, who will be taking the reins.

The weather is getting nice and Botanica is getting packed. Be sure to come and hang out on every second and last Friday of the month for great music and good times.

Stay tunes for some great mixes. I’ll be posting a couple new ones and some guest mixes really soon.

Sorry for the late update for March, it’s been a busy month. However, I’m pleased to kick the month off with a guest mix from my man DJ Anonymous in Helsinki. You need to check DJ’s Delight today, yesterday, and everyday in the future. Sampo kind of never quits when it comes to great taste. Can someone say thorough? He’s has blessed us with one of my favorite mixes in a long time, some I knew and love, most I’m fiending for. Here’s some words from the man himself:

“When Josh asked me to do a guest mix he said he’d like to hear something I don’t usually play out. Recently I’ve been doing a lot of uptempo club stuff, so I wanted to find something laid back for this. I also decided to do mostly album tracks, as I hardly ever mess with them in the club. So basically what we have here is one hour’s worth of personal favorite album cuts, some re-edited just for the occasion. Most don’t usually get the credit I feel they deserve, a few are established classics. The first half is super mellow and at times moody, the second half is more uplifting. Enjoy…”

I could get into all kinds of stories about Sampo, but I won’t. All I’ll say is we need a Detroit reunion at Aaron’s house.

The guest mix all star roll out doesn’t stop here. Later this week I’ll be posting a mix from Paul “Grizz” Adams from the UK, as well as a way overdue mix from Marcel Vogel (sorry it took so long man). 100 Limousines is staying international in March ‘o8.

I have a new mix called You Say that should be up in the next couple of weeks, I need to scan the records for you maximum enjoyment.

As far as requests for edits goes. I’m getting it organized and I’ll get some heat to you guys soon. Thanks for being patient.

March looks to be the busiest month since I’ve lived in NY. So much is happening. Between a new job and life, things have been very exciting.

This weekend New York has a special guest, Brad Hales. You might remember Brad from In The Modern Room 2 and In The Modern Room 3. Brad will be playing the Bumpshop at apt. on Saturday night with Mr. Finewine, Dave G, JBX, & the Chairman

Brad is also playing with Mr. Finewine at Botanica on Monday, as well as a large cast of characters including the 100 Limousines! Both events look to benefit Brad’s store Peoples Records which suffered from a terrible fire last month. Hope to see you at both!

Disco Dance, Love on the Run, Benguin, Ari!

There’s people coming from Baltimore there’s people coming from DC.  Maybe there’s going to be Foreal People from over seas.  No maybes, Foreal People unite tonight.  Balloons, smoke machines, drinks, music, dancing, fun, ROMANCE, cocktail dresses, and suits… EXCUSE ME!  Tonight is going to be a blast, can’t wait to see YOU there.

A few years back I started the tradition of making a Valentine’s Mix. This year it’s “…More Power To You” I reused some of the same songs from prior years so if you’ve got “Valentine’s Day At The Sky Lodge” or “Your My Paradise” then I’m sorry.

This mix is a little all over the place, there is some Jazz, Soul, Modern, Boogie, whatever you want to call it, they’re all STRONG, and they’re all special to me.

I need to give some shouts with this one. The first track, “Peace Of Mind” is also on Thes One’s Mustache Soul, if you aren’t in Japan, you probably didn’t get the mix, but I think there are still some copies out there somewhere. Huge shout to Deep Sang for the Harris Mazyck, man you know what kind of STRONG SONGS I like; you know what time it is; thanks again. (Your “record karma” is large!)

To everyone else, Happy Valentine’s Day. If you got someone in your life in any capacity and they’re not making you feel special today, you need to dead that and press on.

Another Bring the Heat Battle has begun!  Some of you might have checked out Rahaan vs. Zernell.  This time it’s me going head to head with RAS420.  I listened to RAS’s mix this morning and it’s pretty hot.  I think this might be a close one.  Go vote for your favorite mix.
